Food tech

Today at food tech we made popcorn corn chicken with wedges. The first thing we did when we got there
we had to get ourselves ready like getting our aprons getting our washing equipment
ready and also washing our hands. After washing our hands we got our ingredients prepared
Ms Hamer gave us a demonstration of what we should do with the chicken she
prepared.

She told us  that she marinade the chopped up chicken in milk and a bit of lemon juice,
after that she dipped the chicken in the plain flower and then the beaten egg
last but not least bread crumbs but with the bread crumbs you can add any seasoning you
like. After dipping our chicken in the flour, egg and bread crumbs we got our tray and put foil
over and sprayed the canola oil over it and placed our chicken on the tray. We left it in the oven for 10
minutes, after the 10 minutes we take it out and flip it and put it back in the oven.

After cooking the chicken we took it out off the oven to let it cool down, then we took our
lunch boxes to Ms Hamer to get our wedges after that we got our popcorn chicken and add our
sauces and it was awesome.

The  ingredients required are:
Chopped up chicken big/small
1 or 2 eggs
plain flour
bread crumbs
any seasoning you want
and any sauces

Tool required are:
Chopping board
knife
3 bowls
tray
canola oil spray
tongs
cooking mittens
foil
and a tray

  1. kia ora sam I like how you explained it because it made me hungry and wanted to try it. The wedges remind me of the potato wedges they are yum. Have you ever had potato wedges? Was it yum when you ate it? What sauce and Seasoning did you use?

  3. Malo e lelei Samisoni. I was in the cooking class with you and we were buddies. The chicken popcorns were delicious and if I had to rate them it would be 8/10. What was your favourite part when you were making the food.

  4. Kia orana Samisoni. Just reading this makes me hungry. I love how you explained the process in your own words and how you listed the ingredients, it looks so good that i'm really tempted to make it. If you had to, what would you rate the popcorn chicken?

  5. Fakaalofa Lahi Atu Samisoni. I was in the cooking class with you and we were all cooking together. What was your favourite part of cooking? My favourite part was marinating the chicken. If I were to rate them it would be like an 9/10 because I didn't marinate it enough with some salt and curry powder.

  7. Malo e lelei Sam. This blog post of yours was very enjoyable to read. I like how you put down the ingredients and the tools you used in class. Did it taste similar to chicken nuggets? I'm also in your group and you were actually behaving yourself in class and that's great, and good behaviour creates good work and it will also encourage yourself to work harder. Brilliant work Sam.
